Project Description: The project introduces a completely new solution within the programme area through the development and commercialization of a next-generation floating house made of GRP composites – Oasis Amor. The Embrace project is focused on developing a new generation of products featuring a redesigned structure, electric propulsion, a multi-room configuration, and a fully integrated platform of sustainable systems.
Common Challenge: The common challenge is the lack of integrated, innovative, and market-validated floating solutions within the programme area that combine advanced composite materials, energy autonomy, zero emissions, and sustainable resource management while complying with international standards. At the same time, SMEs lack sufficient capacities for the development, testing, and commercialization of such complex, multi-component systems at an international level.
Objective and Expected Changes: The objective is to develop, test, and commercialize a new generation of the Oasis Amor floating house made of GRP composites, transforming an innovative prototype into a market-ready product prepared for CE marking and international scaling. The project will enable participating SMEs to enhance their technological capacities, enter new markets, and create new business opportunities and jobs.
Results and Deliverables:
Fully developed and tested GRP composite floating home – Caelum 1029 d.o.o.
Comprehensive marketing strategy and market entry strategy – Media Solution
Technical design, functional systems documentation, and testing report – Euroklima d.o.o.
Key Milestones:
Phase 1 – Development of a New Technology, Service, or Product
Phase 2 – Procurement of New Equipment
Phase 3 – Market Entry and Commercialization Activities
Need for a Cross-Border Approach: The development and commercialization of a GRP composite floating home require expertise from multiple disciplines and countries, as such an integrated solution does not currently exist within the programme area. Cross-border cooperation enables joint development, testing, and validation in line with international standards, as well as access to diverse markets, thereby accelerating commercialization and strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs.
Project Innovation: The project's innovation lies in the development of the first GRP composite floating home within the programme area, integrating sustainable and advanced technologies into a single solution. Additional innovation is reflected in the product’s market readiness and its potential for international commercialization through cross-border SME cooperation.
